In its initial five years, i.e., from 2015 to 2019, WGH was led entirely by volunteers, laying the foundation for the movement. From 2020 to now, WGH has been transitioning from a startup organisation to a sustainable entity. As an employer, WGH offers an exciting, international working environment, with exposure to high-level global health fora.
Women in Global Health has catalyzed a global network of national and regional chapters aiming to enable women from around the world to engage at all levels in decision-making, particularly for women that are under-represented in global health leadership, and especially from low- and middle-income countries (LMICs).
