Women in Global Health UK (WGHUK) was launched in 2020 by a group of women passionate about global health, including researchers, lawyers, epidemiologists and clinicians. WGHUK has since developed alongside a fast-growing global movement and is continuing to expand its community. We are hosted by the UK Faculty of Public Health (FPH).
United Kingdom Chapter
is working to:
We envisage a global health sector with gender equality at all levels of leadership. As a Chapter, our mission is to advance Gender Transformative Leadership in global health through advocacy, training, research, and networking opportunities. We seek to respond to the emerging needs of our community on a demand-driven basis; establish our presence as a supportive women’s network; and strengthen and promote the initiatives developed by global and sister chapters. In all we do, we are driven by our values: to be diverse and inclusive, reflective, member-driven, and collaborative.
Advancing gender transformative leadership in global health through advocacy, training, research, and networking, while fostering a supportive, inclusive, and member-driven community.
