Benin
Founded: October 2021
The Benin Chapter of Women in Global Health is founded by six bold and thirsty-for-change women in 2021. Bringing together their collective experience and expertise in various areas of health and related fields, they decided to join forces to push forward the gender equality agenda within the global health leadership in their country. Our inclusive approach to member cooptation gives us room and breath to build on our comparative advantages and lift each other.
Our aim
- We strive to be at the forefront of the movement for closing the gap on gender equity in health issues
- We serve as a recognition platform for ALL Beninese women that are gaining ground in global health space both locally and in the diaspora
- We advocate for gender-transformative leadership in the health sector in our country.
