Our work

Together with the chapters of Brazil, Chile and Mexico, we organized a panel on Gender Equity for Universal Health Coverage in Latin America. The event was developed around three main points: I) Presentation from the panelists from Brazil, Bolivia, Chile and Mexico; II) Research presentation by a member of the Bolivia Chapter; and III) Presentation of the purpose and progress of WGH of Brazil, Chile, Bolivia, and Mexico by representatives of the regional chapters. The event was a success, where the importance of gender equity to achieve universal health coverage and its visibility in the spaces of their professional role has been widely exposed and supported by panelists.

Watch Recording

As a chapter we developed a research paper titled “Perception of Health Professional’s experiences in times of pandemic Covid-19, Bolivia 2022”. An exploratory and transversal research was developed, which highlighted the perceptions of the health professionals working at the forefront of the COVID-19 pandemic. Among the important results that stand out is the professional dedication despite the adversities faced regarding equipment and work safety. A small percentage has also experienced negative experiences both at home and work.
