As an entity in the greater NY region, the chapter serves as an educator for anyone interested in learning about and getting involved with global health initiatives.
Goals:
- As advocates and leaders of women’s health, the goals of the chapter aim to achieve networking, collaboration, and advocacy for global health in the region.
- Bring together individuals and entities interested in global health, working in global health, and advocating for health equity, globally.
- Serve as a center point to guide conversations, to share ideas, and to establish productive collaborations that will contribute to improved global health practice and policy.
- Create and highlight opportunities for knowledge sharing and advocacy, contribution to policy, and collaboration and partnership.
- Advocate for the importance of positive and transformative leadership, and for women in positions of leadership.
