Dr. Shubha Nagesh is a medical doctor and public health specialist based in the Himalayan state of India, Uttarakhand. Shubha is a Consultant with Women in Global Health, and Alumnae Lead, Women Lift Health, India. Her professional journey spans over a decade of developing and implementing community-based programs for children with developmental disabilities in remote areas of Uttarakhand. Shubha is also recognized as a mentor for Gender Equity at the University of Global Health Equity in Rwanda, underscoring her international involvement in advancing gender parity in healthcare leadership. She has been the South Asia Correspondent with International Health Policies, where she wrote extensively about gender and disability. Throughout her career, she has been a passionate advocate at the intersection of gender and disability, advocating for inclusive policies and practices. Previously, Shubha has contributed to healthcare systems in diverse settings, including her role as a clinician with the NHS in the United Kingdom and as a National Consultant with the AIDS Control Program in India.
