Kim Sales

Kim Sales is a public health researcher. She advocates for gender equity in global health and inclusive health systems that address the intersecting needs of marginalized communities.
As Co-Convener of Women in Global Health Philippines, she co-led efforts analyzing gender responsiveness of healthcare worker policies and promoted gender-equitable leadership  She has represented the organization at the World Health Assembly and WHO Regional Committee Meetings, contributing to discussions on health security and gender equity. Kim has written about systemic barriers in global health workforce and leadership that hinder gender equality, and the health inequities faced by LGBTQ+ Filipinos.
In parallel with her advocacy, her research spans health systems strengthening, health security, and research priority-setting. She has published on topics such as health equity, health policy, and the role of evidence in decision-making, reflecting her dedication for equitable and resilient health systems.
Kim is a Partner at the Alliance for Improving Health Outcomes, Philippines, and a Visiting Fellow (2024–2025) at The George Institute for Global Health–Sydney as part of a Global Forum on Bioethics in Research Fellowship. She is a PhD student at the Institute for Evidence-Based Healthcare, Bond University, Australia.
