Lanice C. Williams

Lanice C. Williams is a global public health and gender professional with over 11 years of experience in research, programmatic work, and policy initiatives across the United States, Sub-Saharan Africa, Latin America, and the Caribbean. Currently, she serves as the Director of Advocacy, Communications, & Partnerships at Data2X, where she leads and oversees an integrated advocacy and communications strategy to advance the use of gender data for gender equality. Previously, she was a Senior Program Officer at Jhpiego, providing cross-cutting management for the MOSAIC project and the RISE HIV HOP activity.

Her technical expertise spans gender equality, gender integration, HIV prevention, sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR), gender-based violence (GBV) prevention and response, and health equity. She is a 2016–2017 Global Health Corps alumna and a 2022 WomenLift Health North America Leadership Journey fellow. Lanice serves as Chair of the Women in Global Health Washington, D.C. Chapter, North America Regional Alumnae Lead for WomenLift Health, and a Commissioner with the D.C. Commission for Women, an appointment by the Mayor of Washington, D.C.

A proud Jamaican American, she holds a Master of Science in Health Education and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Howard University.
