Sexual Harassment: Story of a resident doctor from Asia

At the same time, I faced another couple of ordeals at the hands of a relative of a paediatric patient, who continued to stalk me for the entire 3-year residency period, starting from the first! This guy would leave unwanted letters, presents, and messages on my phone and even got access to where I used to stay. At this point, I had to resort to a formal police complaint which just did not yield any concrete results. Thus, a period in which I was meant to learn, train, conduct research, and become a skilled professional, instead turned into a nightmare for me marked by seemingly never-ending episodes of bullying and blatant sexual harassment at the workplace. Unsurprisingly, I was flung so deep into depression that I even tried to hang myself once.
