Date, time and location: 22 May 2023 | 18:00-19:30 CET | Baobob Room at the Global Health Campus, Geneva, Switzerland
Join us for an in-person event during the 76th World Health Assembly in Geneva, Switzerland, co-hosted by the Government of Argentina, Malawi and Sweden and the Alliance for Gender Equality and Universal Health Coverage (UHC). This event will highlight the importance of Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) in achieving Universal Health Coverage and Sustainable Development Goal commitments.
We recognize the critical role of SRHR services in providing essential care across the life course, particularly for marginalized populations. However, during the COVID-19 pandemic, many essential services, including those delivering SRHR, were reduced or defunded. We believe that programming and adequately funding SRHR is a low-cost and effective building block to achieving gender equality and Universal Health Coverage.
Please join Member States and Civil Society at this side event to share best practices for policy and funding to ensure that SRHR and services are a recognized, protected, and essential part of health systems.
