Finland

Founded: August 2019

Women in Global Health Finland was Co-Founded by Jennifer Martin and Salla Atkins in 2019. Since the launch of the Chapter in April 2020 it has grown to 130 members. The Chapter is currently hosted by Tampere University.

The principal aim of the chapter is to raise the visibility of women working in global health and to galvanize a network of individuals to support more women into leadership positions in global health through advocacy and an action-oriented approach. WGH Finland aims to strengthen the chapter’s partnerships with other chapters, to offer its members, many of who are in the early stages of their careers, access to information and opportunities beyond the immediate networks within Finland.
