Washington DC, USA

Founded: 2018

The Women in Global Health Washington DC Chapter was established in March 2018 to leverage the nexus of politics, diplomacy, and foreign policy. The WGH-DC Chapter is run by five officers and an Executive Committee, which plans and carries out key activities throughout the year. Members of the WGH-DC chapter live and work in the Washington, DC, Maryland, and Virginia Areas. Our chapter was founded by Nicole Schiegg who passed away on November 5, 2022 after a valiant battle with advanced colorectal cancer. We will continue to honor her legacy by advancing gender equality in global health leadership.
