Going Beyond 50/50: Transformative Leadership for Gender Equity

In keeping with one of the Women Deliver conference themes, “Catalyzing Collective Action to Advance Gender Equality,” WGH will host an online webinar with the objective of reinforcing an understanding of how intersectionality is integral to women’s transformative leadership.
The focus is on women in all their diversity at different rungs of the health system hierarchy being acknowledged as leaders and given space for leadership. Fully acknowledging that women are a heterogeneous group. Understanding intersectionality allows us to dispel the notion that the disadvantages that hinder and privileges that enable women’s career progression are part of a shared universal experience, explained only by gender.
