Stephanie Baric is a global development leader with 30+ years of experience across USAID, UN agencies, and international NGOs. As Senior GBV Technical Advisor at USAID, she provided thought leadership for the agency’s global strategy to end child marriage and FGM. At UNICEF, she supported FGM prevention and response across 17 countries in Africa and the Middle East. She directed a USAID flagship governance project in Yemen, strengthening social accountability through youth and women’s civic engagement. At CARE, she served as Senior Advisor for the “Power Within: Learning to Lead” program on adolescent girls’ education and leadership. She has held senior leadership roles, including Assistant Country Director for CARE in Palestine, Tanzania, and Egypt. She holds an MA in Media Studies from Concordia University in Montreal.
